Sa Refinadora has launched the second edition of the charity exhibition 'Art for Inclusion: 50 Years, 50 Works', organised by the Asnimo Foundation as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations. The exhibition will be open to the public until 25 October.

Carmen Cañellas, the Councillor for Culture, emphasised the importance of the exhibition, stating, 'This exhibition reminds us that there are still barriers preventing many people from accessing opportunities, and we must continue working to eliminate them.'

The exhibition features around fifty artworks donated by CaixaBank, including paintings, drawings, engravings, sculptures, and decorative items from various artists such as Antoni Pascual, Colomer Galamantes, and Mela Ferrer. The aim is to raise funds for the 'Sport for All' project, which seeks to promote social and labour inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports.

Visitors can contribute directly to the project by making financial donations linked to the displayed artworks. Each piece has a minimum donation amount and an immediate purchase price. Interested individuals can submit a bid or make a donation to receive their chosen artwork, with contributions eligible for corresponding tax deductions.

The inauguration was attended by various dignitaries, including Councillor Cañellas, Councillor for Social Services Elvira García, and the president and director of the Asnimo Foundation, Alfonso Ramon and Tolo Márquez, respectively. Cañellas highlighted the social dimension of the initiative, stating, 'Sports and culture are fundamental areas for promoting participation and equal opportunities.'

She also acknowledged the foundation's significant history over the past fifty years, noting, 'Behind these fifty years are many individuals, families, and professionals who have contributed to changing perceptions of intellectual disabilities. This exhibition is also an opportunity to raise awareness of the needs and aspirations of those the foundation supports.'

All proceeds from 'Art for Inclusion: 50 Years, 50 Works' will go directly to the 'Sport for All' campaign, a crowdfunding initiative led by the Asnimo Foundation in collaboration with the 'la Caixa' Foundation and CaixaBank. The project aims to create adapted and accessible sports facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, recognising the importance of physical activity for well-being, personal autonomy, and social relationships.

The initiative also includes a second phase focused on employment opportunities. Once the facilities are completed, the Special Employment Centre Sumam+ plans to create jobs related to the management of the new sports spaces, combining the promotion of physical activity with job creation for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The Marratxí Town Council supports the initiative by hosting the exhibition at Sa Refinadora, providing a cultural space for an event that merges artistic promotion with fundraising for a social cause. The exhibition will remain open until 25 October, and individuals or businesses wishing to contribute to the campaign can do so until 31 December through CaixaBank's portal, ATMs, or via Bizum 14570.
