The sale of the Bono Sénior, aimed at residents aged 65 and over, has been postponed until further notice. The in-person sale was set to take place from 26 to 30 October at the Centro Municipal de Consumo (Cerca) and three social centres in Alicante.
The Ayuntamiento de Alicante (Alicante City Council) and the Cámara de Comercio (Chamber of Commerce) announced that the campaign for Bono Comercio 2026 has been temporarily delayed in response to an international cybersecurity alert. This alert was triggered by two critical vulnerabilities detected in PHP, a technology widely used across millions of websites globally.
As a precautionary measure, numerous portals, including the official website www.bonocomercioalicante.es, have been deactivated temporarily. It is important to note that this action is a preventive measure in light of a global incident, rather than an issue originating from the campaign's website.
The authorities are working diligently to ensure the security of the service and aim to restore operations as soon as possible. Consequently, the launch of the Bono Sénior has been postponed, with the original sale hours planned from 8:30 to 14:30 at the Cerca every day, and at the social centres on specific dates: Felicidad Sánchez on 26 October, Isla de Cuba on 27 October, and Playas on 28 October.
For any inquiries or further information, residents can reach out via email at info@bonocomercioalicante.es. Both the Chamber of Commerce and the City Council express their regret for any inconvenience this situation may cause and appreciate the understanding of beneficiaries and participating establishments.
