The Cáceres City Council's Contracting Board has proposed the awarding of technical services for the drafting of projects at the Santa Lucía community centre, the La Cañada Cultural Centre, and the Estufa Fría in Parque del Príncipe, to Pedro Antonio Carranza Casilla for a total amount of €64,931.43.
The first project concerns the Santa Lucía community centre, located in Plaza de España in Aldea Moret, with a budget of €13,130.68. This project aims to address the deficiencies of this historic building, which was formerly the town hall of Aldea Moret. Planned interventions include improving rainwater drainage systems and addressing damp issues affecting the walls. Additionally, the project will involve replacing windows to enhance thermal insulation, upgrading heating and lighting systems, repairing façades, and refurbishing various interior spaces.
The second contract pertains to the drafting of a reform project for the La Cañada Cultural Centre, with a budget of €20,474.14. This technical document will examine the replacement of windows with better thermal insulation performance, the installation of external thermal insulation on façades, and the renewal of damaged flooring. Improvements to the maintenance conditions of the roof are also planned.
Lastly, the board has proposed awarding €31,326.61 for the drafting of a rehabilitation project for the Estufa Fría in Parque del Príncipe, which is currently closed to the public due to the deteriorating condition of some elements and associated safety risks. This technical work will include a pathological study to assess the conservation state of the building, particularly its metal structure and auxiliary elements affected by oxidation due to humidity. Based on this diagnosis, necessary actions will be defined to ensure the safety and functionality of the facility, aiming to restore its public use and its role as an environmental and educational space. The specifications stipulate that the solutions must guarantee the building's safety and functionality for a minimum of 25 years.
