The launch of the bono comercio 2026 campaign has been temporarily postponed due to a global cybersecurity alert. This decision affects the bono sénior, aimed at individuals aged 65 and older, which was set to be sold in person from 26 to 30 October at the Centro Municipal de Consumo (Cerca) and three social centres in Alicante.
The Ayuntamiento de Alicante (City Council) and the Cámara de Comercio (Chamber of Commerce) have announced the temporary deactivation of the website and platform www.bonocomercioalicante.es as a precautionary measure. This action follows the detection of two critical vulnerabilities in PHP, a technology used by millions of websites worldwide, prompting preventive measures across various online platforms.
Officials have clarified that the issue is not related to the bono comercio website itself, but rather a broader international incident. They are working diligently to restore services with enhanced security as soon as possible.
The in-person sales for the bono sénior were scheduled for mornings from 8:30 to 14:30 at the Cerca every day, with additional sales at social centres: Felicidad Sánchez on 26 October, Isla de Cuba on 27 October, and Playas on 28 October.
For further inquiries, individuals can contact the campaign via email at info@bonocomercioalicante.es. Both the Chamber of Commerce and the City Council have expressed their regret for any inconvenience this situation may cause and appreciate the understanding of beneficiaries and participating businesses.
