Civivox Pompelo hosts 'Amour', a gestural theatre performance at Iruñaldia festival

Civivox Pompelo will host 'Amour' this Saturday at 19:00, a gestural theatre performance featuring masks by the Marie de Jongh company, designed for both adult and child audiences. This poetic show is part of the Iruñaldia festival programme and has been honoured with the MAX and FETEN awards, two of the most significant accolades in the performing arts.

Tickets for this performance, which marks the beginning of Iruñaldia's programme in municipal venues, are available for €10. Among the other events scheduled in municipal spaces is the concert 'Lur', performed by Maddi Oihenart and Juantxo Zeberio, on Saturday 14 November at 19:30 at the same Civivox Pompelo venue. Prior to this, dance enthusiasts can enjoy 'Aztarnak. Danza sobre lienzo', a free performance by Kresala Dantza Taldea at 12:30 in the Plaza Consistorial.

'Amour' is a wordless performance featuring actors Jokin Oregi, Ana Meabe, and Pio Mortiz of Pionedo. It invites the audience to reflect on the thin line that separates love from hate, viewing theatre as a space for sharing emotions, reflections, doubts, and certainties. The narrative portrays children playing in a land where everything begins, eagerly discovering their world by mimicking adults with boldness and carefree abandon, even daring to love without understanding its true meaning. They learn about scents and can distinguish concepts and experiences such as skin, caresses, abandonment, refuge, and desire. Although they live in the present, suddenly over sixty years pass, and paradoxically, they become estranged from one another, even as they come to understand the true meaning of love. They are aware that time has passed, but what they do not know is that love always offers another chance.

Third edition of Iruñaldia

The third edition of the contemporary culture festival Iruñaldia is taking place from 5 to 14 November across various venues in the city. This initiative is a collaboration between the Pamplona City Council and Loraldia, sponsored by Euskarabidea - Instituto Navarro del Euskera and Laboral Kutxa. The festival also collaborates with the media outlet NAIZ and other stakeholders linked to the Basque language and culture in Pamplona. The complete programme can be viewed on the Iruñaldia website. Tickets for events that require entry can be purchased on that website, as well as on pamplonaescultura for activities held in the Civivox network.
