The cultural programme in Ribadeo for the remainder of 2026 features numerous musical and theatrical offerings, as well as a new exhibition focused on Leopoldo Calvo-Sotelo. Begoña Sanjurjo, the councillor for culture, noted that the cultural agenda for this quarter began with a busy October filled with theatrical performances in the town, including the Daniel Cortezón Showcase, as well as events in local parishes. The month also saw the eleventh edition of the Mar por Medio Days and concluded with the celebration of Library Day and the Vendaval Fest Galiñeiro.

Sanjujo explained that November is traditionally a musical month due to the celebration of its patron, Santa Cilla. Both the Coral Polifónica and the Municipal Band will present their performances. Additionally, there will be a family theatre show on the 15th featuring 'A Alquimista,' and on the day of San Alberto Magno, the patron of chemists, there will be initiatives aimed at inspiring female scientific vocations. On the 22nd, the auditorium will host the play 'Sobria y Serena: el chou.' This month will also include specific programming to commemorate the Fight Against Gender Violence around 25 November.

Looking ahead to December, the final month of 2026, which also marks the remembrance of Leopoldo Calvo-Sotelo, several events are still planned. For instance, the exhibition 'La biblioteca de nuestro presidente' will be available at the municipal library. On the 13th, Ítaca Teatro will present 'Profetas.' The Municipal School of Music and Dance will showcase their talents during Christmas festivals on the 12th and 19th. The Coral will perform traditional carols at the parish church on the 22nd, and on the 29th, the Municipal Band will host a concert titled 'Aquí como en Viena' at the municipal pavilion, featuring some surprises. Together with the association Os Catro Caños, a pre-New Year celebration will take place on the 26th. This will not be the only festive offering, so residents are encouraged to stay tuned for more announcements regarding the Christmas programme!
