Galicia addresses industrial land needs in Mos

María Jesús Lorenzana, the conselleira de Economía e Industria (regional minister for economy and industry) of Galicia, convened with Nidia Arévalo, the mayor of Mos, and a group of local entrepreneurs to address the municipality's industrial land needs. The meeting focused on the ongoing development of the Mos-Redondela business park, with Lorenzana emphasising the importance of understanding the requirements and projects of local businesses to tailor the development of land in the area.

During the discussion, Lorenzana highlighted that investments require adequate space, equipped with suitable surface conditions, services, utilities, and access. Currently, in the province of Pontevedra, over 3 million square metres of industrial land are under processing, urbanisation, or execution, with an investment of 138.6 million euros.

Furthermore, she noted that Galicia is making its largest investment in public industrial land development in history, with a budget aimed at providing nearly 12 million square metres of land at an investment of over 440 million euros by 2030.

In addition, Lorenzana announced that a pilot project for self-consumption, led by the company Recursos de Galicia-RDG in collaboration with the Mos City Council, will commence in the coming weeks. This initiative aims to reduce electricity costs for local industries.
