The Cabildo de La Gomera, in collaboration with the Federation of Urban Areas of the Canary Islands (FAUCA), will open the registration period on 3 November for establishments interested in joining the Christmas Consumption Voucher Campaign 2026, titled 'Yo Compro en La Gomera'. This initiative aims to stimulate shopping in local businesses during the Christmas period and support economic activity across the island's six municipalities.
Registration will be conducted through the website www.yocomproenlagomera.com. Businesses that participated in the previous edition will receive an email with information regarding this new call. Meanwhile, companies wishing to join for the first time can request additional information at yocomproenlagomera@fauca.org.
This campaign will make available over 100,000 vouchers, each valued at 20 euros, which can be used as a payment method in participating establishments. With this new edition, the Cabildo and FAUCA continue their initiative to support the island's business fabric and encourage consumption in local shops.
The vouchers will maintain a segmentation by municipality, with different percentages of discount to promote balanced consumption across the island. In Alajeró, Agulo, Hermigua, and Vallehermoso, the subsidy funded by the Cabildo will be 60%, allowing each 20-euro voucher to be purchased for 8 euros. In San Sebastián de La Gomera and Valle Gran Rey, the subsidy will be 50%, making the purchase price 10 euros.
