The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, participated in the announcement of Jaume Anglada's concert, marking the musician's return to the stage after a year and a half of inactivity due to a serious traffic accident. Galmés welcomed Anglada back to the music scene, expressing the institution's recognition: “Today is a day of happiness for Mallorcan music. Jaume Anglada is a beloved and respected artist, and seeing him return to the stage is news we all celebrate. On behalf of the Consell, we want to express our affection, admiration, and congratulations for his 30 years of career and this much-anticipated return.”
The concert is scheduled for Saturday, 7 November, at 19:00 at the Teatre Principal in Palma. For this occasion, Anglada will be joined by a talented band, featuring collaborators and friends from previous projects. Alongside Anglada, who will sing and play the acoustic guitar, the stage will include Sergio Llopis on piano, Teo Salvà on drums, Juanan Torrandell on double bass, and Jaume Blázquez on trumpet.
Titled 30 años después (30 years later), the concert will showcase Anglada's artistic journey from his beginnings to the present day. “I want to narrate these 30 years through songs. I will perform the tracks that have marked me the most and those that the audience has enjoyed the most,” the musician explained.
The anticipation surrounding the event has been remarkable, with Anglada's followers fully supporting the concert, resulting in all tickets being sold out. There have been no seats available for weeks. Throughout his career, Jaume Anglada has released several albums, including Dentro de la noche (1996), Empezar de nuevo (1998), Nunca tendremos Graceland (2003), Otra canción de carretera (2005), Stereo (2010), Anglada en directo (2011), Temposinfónico (2013), and I tu (2014). His two most recent works, Manzana de caramelo (2016) and Detrás del corazón (2019), were released in collaboration with actress and singer Carolina Cerezuela.
