La Línea de la Concepción is actively engaging in the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, one of the most significant international tourism fairs, taking place from 3 to 5 November. This marks the city's third consecutive year at the event, where it shares an exhibition space with the Provincial Tourism Board of Cádiz, aiming to solidify its presence in the British market, enhance professional contacts, and showcase the evolution of its tourism offerings.
On the first day of the fair, the La Línea delegation held various meetings with tourism professionals to discuss promotional opportunities for the destination and explore new avenues for collaboration. This agenda of contacts will continue throughout the day and until the fair concludes.
The presence of La Línea at the WTM was highlighted by a visit to the exhibition space from Manuel Gavira, the Tourism Councillor of the Junta de Andalucía, who expressed interest in the development of the local tourism industry and the new opportunities the destination presents.
Among the key attractions La Línea is showcasing this year are the growth and diversification of its hotel offerings, including the expansion of OKU Andalusia and Ohtels Campo de Gibraltar, as well as the commercial development of Alcaidesa Marina, which will enhance the city's tourism and gastronomic appeal. The destination also boasts a diverse range of offerings, combining unique accommodations, nautical tourism, historical and cultural heritage, gastronomy, and a prime geographical location next to Gibraltar, whose airport serves as a vital access point for international visitors.
Mercedes Atanet, the Councillor for Tourism, stated that participation in this fair aligns with the municipal strategy for “tourism promotion and the commitment to establish La Línea as a competitive, sustainable destination capable of attracting new visitor segments.”
