The Lleida Tourism Board, part of the Diputación de Lleida, has approved a budget of €6.28 million for 2027, aimed at bolstering support for the tourism sector. Vice President Juan Antonio Serrano highlighted that the proposal features a pioneering aid line for receptive travel agencies, allocated €30,000.
Serrano explained that these funds will incentivise the marketing of combined travel packages that include services from the Lleida region. Specifically, the budget will subsidise advertising actions, attendance at fairs and workshops, participation in trade missions, and the organisation of press and familiarisation trips to the Pyrenees and the Terres de Lleida.
For the coming year, the budget includes a provision of €460,000 for a plan aimed at local councils. It also encompasses agreements with various organisations, including the Federation of Hospitality, the Lleida Camping Association, the Rural Tourism Federation, the Lleida Wine Route, the Nordic Skiing Community, the Lleida Chamber of Commerce, the Catalan Tourism Agency, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Eurecat, the Department of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition, and the College of Journalists of Catalonia. The total value of these agreements amounts to €632,000.
The General Board has also ratified the 2027 Action Plan, which continues to promote the tourism offerings of the Pyrenees and the Terres de Lleida in both national and international markets, particularly in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Germany.
Serrano affirmed that the plan is “fully aligned with our goal, which is to make Lleida the best place to live, now and in the future. Therefore, we will work to consolidate a sustainable and regenerative tourism management model and promote actions that benefit the economy and local development, enhance resident engagement, and contribute to preserving the territory and the environment.”
