The town of Betanzos has announced a new initiative to offer financial assistance to tenants and homeowners struggling with housing costs. The programme is designed to support individuals who hold rental contracts or mortgage loans for their primary residence within the municipality.
The objective of this assistance is to help mitigate the financial burden associated with maintaining a home, particularly for those belonging to vulnerable groups. The initiative is funded by the Provincial Council of A Coruña through the POS + Additional 1/2026 for Extraordinary Social Expenses.
According to the resolution published on the town's electronic headquarters and website, in accordance with Article 45 1,b) of Law 39/2015, which governs the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, applicants will have a period of 10 working days from the day following the publication to withdraw their application or submit any necessary objections.
