The president of the Junta de Extremadura, María Guardiola, attended the solemn tribute to the national flag and the military parade, marking Spain's National Day, held in Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo in Madrid. Following the ceremony, Guardiola joined the royal reception hosted by Their Majesties the Kings, alongside Their Royal Highnesses the Princess of Asturias and Infanta Doña Sofía.
Guardiola was part of the delegation of regional presidents invited to these commemorative events, which aim to honour significant moments in Spain's collective history that contribute to the nation's cultural and social heritage.
