Until 28 November, the lobby of the ‘Pablo Ruiz Picasso’ Cultural Centre is hosting the exhibition ‘Brushstrokes of Colmenar Viejo’, which provides an intimate perspective of the town through painting.
The Culture Department presents this new exhibition, which serves as a reminder and a journey through the streets, river, streams, and corners that are part of the artist's history. Each drawing captures a lived experience, a moment, a feeling. It is not merely landscape; it reflects the artist's life in Colmenar Viejo, showcasing brushstrokes of the town's memories and emotions.
Local artist José Colmenarejo García returns to the ‘Picasso’ Cultural Centre with this exhibition, which offers a personal view of Colmenar Viejo through his artwork. He trained for three years at the Pablo Neruda Cultural Centre and later continued his artistic journey in a self-taught manner, developing a unique style linked to the observation of his surroundings.
The exhibition features around thirty works, including watercolours, charcoal, and marker drawings. It will be available for viewing in the lobby until 28 November.
