New film classroom launched at UPCT for audiovisual creation

The Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) has announced the launch of a film classroom, a new cultural initiative designed to encourage the creation and development of group audiovisual projects among its students.

The film classroom will take place every Wednesday from 16:00 to 17:30, starting from 28 October and running until the end of the year, at the Casa del Estudiante. It will be coordinated by Pablo Madrid, a psychologist and filmmaker with over fifteen years of experience in audiovisual training.

Jaume Blancafort, the cultural coordinator, described the film classroom as a "creative space that is open, inclusive, and without age restrictions, providing an environment for collective audiovisual creation and development where participants can chart their own learning paths."

Throughout the course, participants will create at least one group audiovisual piece, whether narrative or experimental, and will engage in creative challenges to enhance their technical and expressive skills.

This initiative is part of UPCT's broader efforts to enrich the cultural landscape of the university and provide students with valuable practical experience in the field of audiovisual arts.
