On 7 November, the cultural association Plan Mafalda will celebrate its second charity gala at the Las Vegas Theatre, starting at 20:00. Ana Mansanet, the councillor for culture, highlighted that the association comprises over 40 volunteers who use art and culture as tools to educate, raise awareness, and support individuals in difficult situations.
The gala promises to be a family-friendly event filled with entertainment, including performances of magic, circus acts, music, and plenty of laughter. Additionally, the event will feature the participation of the children's choir from CEIP Virgen del Pilar, who will perform several songs.
“Solidarity knows no borders,” explained social worker Susana Sanz, who emphasised that clowns will act as ushers to entertain guests, alongside an information table offering merchandise.
The event will also include acrobatics, juggling, and video projections showcasing the association's work, as well as a batucada and other activities. Tickets are priced at €5 and can be purchased at the culture department or at the box office one hour before the event.
Funds raised will be allocated to projects in refugee camps in Greece and Gaza, including support for food storage, financial contributions for food provision, workshops, and games, allowing children to enjoy their childhood.
