The city council of Reinosa has launched two grant programmes for 2026, with a total budget of €35,000 aimed at supporting the activities of cultural associations and parent-teacher associations (AMPAS) in the city.
The grant for cultural associations has a budget of €30,000, an increase of €7,000 or 30% compared to the previous year’s allocation of €23,000. This funding is intended to support activities, projects, and programmes that promote culture, citizen participation, and the dissemination of local traditions and heritage.
Additionally, €5,000 is earmarked for AMPAS, aimed at supporting initiatives developed by these educational entities.
The mayor of Reinosa, Sergio Balbontín, stated, “We have increased the allocation for cultural associations from €23,000 to €30,000, a 30% rise compared to last year. This increase reflects the council's commitment to strengthening support for cultural entities and enabling them to continue developing their projects and activities. These associations play a vital role in the life of Reinosa, and we want to support them in their work while also maintaining our backing for AMPAS due to their contributions to education.”
Beatriz de la Pinta, the councillor for culture, dynamisation, and social services, added, “Behind these associations are individuals who dedicate time and effort to organising activities and launching initiatives that enrich life in Reinosa. The council wants to support this work and facilitate the continuation of their cultural and educational projects.”
