The City Council of Reus, through the Casal de Joves, has announced an extensive programme of free activities aimed at adolescents and young people for the month of November. The initiative includes healthy and creative cooking workshops, a job orientation talk for the Christmas campaign, cultural activities, meeting spaces, and projects focused on awareness and coexistence.
Daniel Marcos, the Councillor for Youth, stated, “We work throughout the year, month by month, to offer a programme designed exclusively for the youth of the city, with varied proposals tailored to their interests.”
Highlighted activities include several gastronomic workshops, such as healthy cooking, Latin American cuisine, creative sandwich and snack preparation, and dessert making. Additionally, a talk titled “Find a job for Christmas” is scheduled for young people seeking their first work experience or job opportunities during the festive season.
The programme also features the LGTBI+ Youth Group, a contemporary dance project called “Just a Jam,” the reading club “Teenagers with a Voice,” a cycling outing along the Vía Verde, and the workshop “Let’s Talk Clearly: Machista Violence,” among other proposals.
Activities will take place in various municipal facilities across the city, including the Casal de Joves la Palma, several civic centres, the Pere Anguera Library, and Cal Massó. Some of the initiatives are organised in collaboration with other municipal services, programmes, and local entities, such as the Corresponsables Plan, the Municipal Libraries of Reus, Nexes, XNEJ, and ACDUC, reinforcing the cross-cutting work of youth policies promoted by the City Council of Reus.
Detailed information about the activities and the registration process can be found on the City Council of Reus's registration portal, where reservations for activities that require them can also be made.
