The city council of Madrid will incorporate designs from the fashion brands Suma Cruz, Bimani, and Marcos Luengo into the Christmas lighting for this year. This initiative is part of a collaboration established between the council and the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain (ACME).
Suma Cruz will be responsible for the new lighting design on the streets of Carretas and Espoz y Mina, while Bimani will create the illumination for Calle del Arenal. Additionally, a new Christmas tree designed by Marcos Luengo will be unveiled in Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz.
These three designers join a host of other renowned brands associated with ACME that have contributed their creations to the city since 2020. Notable names include Devota & Lomba, Andrés Sardá, Duyos, Juan Vidal, Moisés Nieto, Helena Rohner, Roberto Verino, Marta Rota for Tot-Hom, Pedro del Hierro, Ulises Mérida, Juana Martín, Oteyza, Isabel Sanchís, and Pablo Erroz.
The Christmas lighting is set to be switched on at the end of November and will remain in place until 6 January, illuminating over 250 locations across the 21 districts of the city.
