The local police in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will commence a special traffic operation from tomorrow in preparation for the celebration of All Saints' Day. As is customary, this effort will be particularly focused around the Santa Lastenia cemetery, where a significant influx of visitors is expected in the coming days.
Authorities recommend that the public prioritise the use of public transport to access the cemetery and pay their respects to deceased relatives and friends. Officers assigned to this operation will ensure that both TITSA buses and taxi services operate smoothly, facilitating mobility in the area.
Should the situation require it, additional police personnel may be deployed. The affected routes include the TF-29, which will be supported by the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard, particularly at the junction with the North Motorway (TF-5) and the connection to the South Motorway (TF-1).
Generally, Hoya Fría road will operate in a single direction, from north to south, for exiting the cemetery, in order to avoid congestion on the TF-29. Furthermore, police patrols will be assigned to other municipal cemeteries to assist visitors and conduct various rounds in the area, ensuring the smooth conduct of these days dedicated to remembering the deceased.
