Approximately 1,200 people participated in the 'from campus to campus' race on Sunday, as reported by the organisers, the Student Council and the Sports Unit of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL). The event enjoyed pleasant weather and introduced a new five-kilometre urban route, welcoming participants from the wider community.
Martí Ullar, a student from the Higher Technical School of Agricultural, Forestry and Veterinary Engineering (ETSEAFiV), claimed victory in the men's category with a time of 15:57. He was followed by Oriol Morales and Cesc Parramona on the podium. In the women's category, Gosia Skrzyniarz took first place with a time of 16:18, followed by Judit Domènech and Núria Ribó.
The route connecting ETSEAFiV and the Cappont campus transformed into a festive occasion for all residents of Lleida, not just students and staff of the UdL. This included the rector, Marià Àngels Balsells, and several members of her team, who also completed the course.
Among the various faculties at the Universitat de Lleida, the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work achieved the best results. The sporting event concluded with an awards ceremony and a chocolate gathering in the inner garden area, offering gluten-free and lactose-free options. Participants were also provided with water and fruit upon arrival. Volunteer students from the Faculty of Nursing and Physiotherapy were on hand to offer treatment to runners in need.
