Vigo council invites proposals for the Three Kings parade

The local government of Vigo is moving forward with its Christmas programming, focusing on the Three Kings parade, known as 'Cabalgata de Reyes'. The council has announced that it is now accepting proposals for artistic performances to accompany the floats, with this year's theme being "Forest, nature and magic".

The submission period for proposals will last for 15 days, starting from the publication of the call on the municipal website. Vigo's mayor, Abel Caballero, confirmed that, as in previous years, there will be two parades: a static one in Coia and a traditional moving parade that will proceed from Avenida Castelao to the town hall, culminating in a reception for the Three Kings at Porta do Sol.

In addition to the festive preparations, the council is also advancing various initiatives to promote affordable rental housing and is facilitating new construction under the General Plan. Next week, the Urban Planning department will report on the initiation of detailed procedures for volume regulation in Couto de San Honorato and Tomás Paredes, which will allow for the construction of new homes, some of which will be subject to protective measures.
