over 400 students participate in educational wine tasting programme in albacete

The educational wine tasting programme, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development through the Tierra de Viñedos Foundation, has concluded its final session in Albacete, attracting a total of 420 students. The last event took place at the Technical School of Agricultural Engineering and Forestry and Biotechnology (ETSIAMB) of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, with participation from provincial agriculture delegate Ramón Sáez and over 120 students attending.

This attendance figure surpasses the average of 100 participants per event. The programme aims to introduce wine culture to young adults, encouraging them to become responsible ambassadors for the region's diverse wines through moderate and conscious consumption.

Notably, this edition of the programme also sought to reach the more sparsely populated areas, a challenge supported by local municipalities. In Albacete province, participating towns included Munera, Alcaraz, San Pedro, and the capital, Albacete, in collaboration with the University of Castilla-La Mancha.

Across the region, 21 educational wine tastings have been scheduled, highlighting the importance of the 'Campo y Alma' label, a regional quality seal that distinguishes agricultural products produced, processed, or transformed in Castilla-La Mancha.
