The local government of Vigo has announced the resumption of the street transformation project on Calle Pazo, with an investment of €417,481 and an expected completion time of four months. This decision follows the suspension of the previous works due to complications with the former construction company.
The mayor stated that this initiative aims to enhance public space and improve accessibility, ultimately fostering pedestrian mobility and creating a more comfortable urban environment for residents.
Facade renovations in Porta do Sol-Elduayen
In a separate development, the local government has also approved a new tender for the renovation of facades in the commercial area between Porta do Sol and Elduayen, with a budget of €210,219. This project aims to create a continuous and uniform facade, visually integrating the local businesses into the urban landscape.
The renovation will preserve existing volumes and access points while introducing a common cladding for the facades, ornamental lighting, and an information screen. The mayor highlighted that this initiative will enhance the appearance of this central area of the city and improve its integration within the Porta do Sol environment.
