Adega Pousadoiro and Casal do Canteiro launch new edition of catArte in Ourense

The twelfth edition of the catArte cycle was inaugurated in Ourense, showcasing the wines of Adega Pousadoiro and Casal do Canteiro. The event took place on 5 November 2026, at the Centro Cultural Marcos Valcárcel, managed by the Diputación de Ourense.

Alfredo Fernández and Jonatán Pousada led the tasting, presenting a total of six wine varieties, including both whites and reds: Pousadoiro, Casal do Canteiro, Scalpellino Viticoltore, Dona Gotto, El tinto de Candela, and Valentina and Amphora. These wines were paired with gastronomic offerings and accompanied by lively musical performances from Iago Vázquez, who entertained attendees with songs from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.

The event also featured a photographic exhibition titled “Ecosistema dunha rodaxe” by Esteban Delaiglesia, which explores the dual roles of a professional cinematographer and visual artist, paying tribute to the unsung heroes behind the camera in film production.

This edition continues the tradition of charitable wine tastings, with proceeds from ticket sales and donations going entirely to the Fundación Diego González Rivas. The foundation aims to improve access to minimally invasive thoracic surgery for patients facing significant barriers.

Notable attendees included Concha Iglesias, president of the C.R.D.O. Ribeiro; Marcos Vázquez, director of the Centro Cultural Marcos Valcárcel; Marisol Fernández, a volunteer from the Fundación Diego González Rivas; and Rosendo Fernández, provincial deputy for the Diputación de Ourense.
