Asturias Fashion Week returns to Oviedo on 3 November

The Ayuntamiento de Oviedo, through its Department of Economy, Digital Transformation and Social Policies, is supporting the upcoming Asturias Fashion Week, which will be held on 3 November at 19:30 in the Teatro Filarmónica. This event aims to highlight the talent, creativity, and quality of fashion linked to Asturias.

Entry to the fashion show will be free until capacity is reached. Asturias Fashion Week will once again position Oviedo as a showcase for the talent and creativity of the fashion sector while promoting the city's image and stimulating local commerce.

Participating on the runway will be local brands including Kiss Moda, Liz Valdesuso, Mariam Vaquero Moda, Lencería Elakokette, Williot (men's fashion), 7 Colores (children's fashion), and Patricia San Martín (event fashion). This event will allow the public to engage with the offerings of participating establishments and appreciate the work of professionals within the Oviedo commercial sector.

A notable highlight of this edition will be a presentation of the collection by Maison Mesa, the brand of Madrid-based designer Juan Carlos Mesa, who has an extensive background in the Spanish fashion industry. Additionally, the event's organisers, led by Lourdes Iglesias, will present Maison Mesa with the Xanina award for professional achievement, recognising his contributions to Spanish fashion.

Leticia González, the councillor for Economy, Digital Transformation and Social Policies, emphasised the government's commitment to initiatives that promote Oviedo's fashion scene. She stated, "Our city has always been characterised by elegance and good taste. We want to continue positioning Oviedo as a commercial tourist destination, as Asturian fashion possesses enviable quality and exclusivity."

González further noted that "Asturias Fashion Week is an opportunity to showcase the talent of our shops, connect their offerings with new audiences, and demonstrate that behind each establishment are professionals committed to quality, differentiation, and personalised service. We want visitors to Oviedo to find a reason to explore the city, enjoy it, and return."

The councillor also highlighted the importance of initiatives that link commerce, creativity, and the promotion of Oviedo, contributing to economic activity and reinforcing the city's identity as a reference for style, quality, and customer service. Through this collaboration, the Ayuntamiento reaffirms its support for proposals that connect culture, economic activity, and commercial promotion, while helping to establish Oviedo as a conducive environment for entrepreneurship, creativity, and the development of fashion-related projects.

Asturias Fashion Week thus solidifies its role as a platform for local commerce and a showcase for the work of industry professionals, enhancing Oviedo's appeal as a city to enjoy fashion.
