Catalan swimming trophy circuit launches 27th edition with support from Diputació de Barcelona

The Catalan Swimming Trophy Circuit has officially launched its 27th edition, supported by the Diputació de Barcelona. This year’s circuit comprises seven trophies with various competition formats, kicking off this weekend with the Trofeo Fèlix Serra Santamans and continuing until July.

The announcement was made during a presentation held at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona, attended by David Escudé, the deputy for Sports at the Diputació de Barcelona, and Ramon Bosch, president of the Catalan Swimming Federation. The event also honoured the top 25 competitors from the previous season, recognising their achievements in the circuit.

In the last edition, which ran from 2025 to 2026, the circuit attracted participation from 114 clubs, with a total of 3,584 swimmers from 65 Catalan clubs, 36 clubs from across Spain, and 13 international clubs.

This initiative by the Diputació de Barcelona aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 3, which focuses on health and well-being. The 17 SDGs were established by the UN General Assembly on 25 September 2015 and form part of the global agenda for 2030. The Diputació de Barcelona is committed to supporting local governments in the province in accordance with these goals.
