Fuengirola unveils diverse cultural programme for November

The town hall of Fuengirola has launched an extensive cultural agenda for November, offering a dozen events aimed at all audiences. The programme includes concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, and guided theatrical visits, taking place across various venues in the city.

Rodrigo Romero, the councillor for culture, made the announcement today, encouraging both residents and visitors to engage with the planned activities. “This month, we will have a very diverse programme for all culture lovers. Currently, we have two exhibitions open to the public: the showcase dedicated to the construction game Tente at the Museum of the City, which ends today, and the painting and sculpture exhibition Ninfas at the Casa de la Cultura, which can be visited until 11 December,” Romero explained.

Main events at the Palacio de la Paz

The Palacio de la Paz will host four of the key cultural offerings this month. The first event is scheduled for Saturday, 7 November, at 20:00, featuring the zarzuela La Tabernera del Puerto, performed by Teatro Lírico Andaluz. The programme will continue on 14 November at 20:00 with the comedy Un Matrimonio sin Filtros, starring Javier Veigas and Marta Hazas. On 21 November, one of the regular highlights of the cultural calendar will take place: the concert by the Municipal Band of Music in celebration of Santa Cecilia, which will be free until full capacity is reached. The series of activities in this venue will conclude on 28 November at 20:00 with Los Guardianes del Verso, a commemorative theatrical performance by the Jóvenes Clásicos company.

Theatre and more

Theatre will play a significant role in November's agenda, with two additional performances scheduled at the Casa de la Cultura. The first will be Solo existe la noche, presented by Mojiganga Teatro on 12 November at 20:00. On 19 November, at the same time, El Coloquio de los Perros, an adaptation of Miguel de Cervantes' work by La Góndola Producciones, will be staged. Tickets for both performances will cost five euros.

Additionally, the archaeological site Finca del Secretario will host two guided theatrical visits on 14 November at 10:30 and 12:30. This activity aims to present the history of the site in an engaging and participatory manner and will be free until full capacity is reached.

Music will also feature prominently, with a concert titled Homenaje a Gabriel Fauré performed by Karelia Trío on 20 November at 20:00 in the Casa de la Cultura. This performance, featuring violin, cello, and piano, will also have a ticket price of five euros.

Romero also noted that earlier in November, two significant activities had already taken place: the International Toy Fair at Sohail Castle and the Tribute to the Elderly organised by the Amanecer Fuengirola collective, which occurred yesterday at the Casa de la Cultura.

Tickets for events requiring advance purchase are available on the website entradas.fuengirola.es and at the information point in the Miramar Shopping Centre, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 12:30 and 15:00 to 18:00.
