Low Festival has announced British band Hot Chip as the first international act confirmed for its 2027 edition, scheduled to take place from 30 July to 1 August at the Parque Antonio Soria in Torrevieja. They will join a lineup that includes Siloé, Shinova, La La Love You, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, Elyella, Puño Dragón, Cervatana, Perfecto Miserable, Ultralágrima, 1111, and Grumpys, all revealed earlier this week.
Formed in London in 2000 by Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard, with Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin joining later, Hot Chip has established themselves as a leading name in blending pop with dance music over the past two decades. Their second album, 'The Warning', was nominated for the Mercury Prize and featured hits such as 'Over and Over', 'Boy From School', and 'Ready for the Floor', which earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording.
With eight studio albums to their name, six of which have reached the UK Top 20, Hot Chip will bring new music to Torrevieja. Their ninth album, 'A Long Way From Kansas', is set for release in January and features eleven darker, more distorted tracks, including guest vocals from Beth Ditto and Eddie Chacon. The lead single, 'Random Violence', pays tribute to their late friend Keith McIvor, a DJ from Optimo. This new album follows their 2025 compilation, 'Joy in Repetition', and a year in which they celebrated the 20th anniversary of 'The Warning'.
General admission tickets for the three-day festival are available for €58.99 plus management fees until 8 November at 23:59, or until sold out. Tickets can also be paid in three interest-free instalments through Klarna. Residents of Torrevieja can benefit from a special promotion, with general tickets priced at €34.99 and VIP tickets at €69.99. Low Festival will continue to announce additional acts in the coming weeks.
