Lleida's hotels, rural tourism homes, and camps in the Pyrenees and Terres de Lleida have concluded the Diada holiday with an average occupancy rate exceeding 80%, with some establishments fully booked during the festive period.
Juan Antonio Serrano, vice president of the Tourism Board of the Lleida Provincial Council, stated, “We have met the forecasts made at the beginning of the holiday, and we are very satisfied with the positive results obtained, which confirm that our offerings of nature, active tourism, culture, and gastronomy attract tourists year-round.”
Occupancy rates varied by sector, with hotels in the Pyrenees reporting between 90% and 95% occupancy, while those in Terres de Lleida reached 40%. Campsites saw 85% occupancy in bungalows and 35% for camping pitches, attributed to an increase in reservations due to favourable weather conditions. Rural tourism homes recorded an occupancy rate of 80%.
Serrano noted that water activities on the Noguera Pallaresa River experienced a good level of engagement, with reservations reaching 80%. He also mentioned that the active tourism and rafting season, which this year marks the 40th anniversary of the first descents, will continue for another month, maintaining a particularly dynamic activity level during weekends.
