The 16th edition of the Wine and Gastronomy Festival, titled “Cambrils, gateway to the Land of Wine,” took place from 9 to 12 October at the Parc del Pescador and has been positively received by the Tourism Board of Cambrils City Council. While final attendance and consumption figures are still pending, the large number of visitors and queues during peak times indicate a strong interest in this event that combines wine, gastronomy, culture, and local exploration.

This initial assessment underscores the festival's ability to generate economic activity, promote local wineries and restaurants, and attract visitors outside the summer season. Patricia de Miguel, the Councillor for Tourism and Economic Promotion, expressed satisfaction with the public's response, stating, “The feedback from attendees is very encouraging and reaffirms our commitment to a proposal that unites gastronomy, wine, and quality experiences.”

De Miguel further explained that the Fira creates opportunities for local businesses and producers, helping to sustain tourism activity beyond the summer months. She emphasised the goal of converting this influx of visitors into new tours of local wineries and increased opportunities for regional enterprises.

Cambrils Mayor Oliver Klein highlighted the positive reception of the Fira as a shared satisfaction and a testament to the efforts of many individuals. “Cambrils has demonstrated its ability to attract visitors and has projected an image of a vibrant, welcoming city committed to quality,” he stated.

This year’s festival featured Bearn as the guest region, showcasing wines from Jurançon and culinary offerings from this French area, thereby enhancing the festival's cultural exchange dimension. The City Council expressed gratitude to the wineries, restaurateurs, organisations, and professionals who contributed to this edition, as well as to the attendees for their participation.
