More than 50 restaurants are taking part in the fourth Alicante city of rice festival, organised by the Alicante City&Beach Tourism Board, which runs from this Thursday until Sunday, 15 November. A total of 52 establishments have joined this initiative, preparing special menus starting at 25 euros, featuring rice as the star ingredient with both traditional and innovative recipes.
Ana Poquet, the city’s councillor for tourism, has encouraged both residents and visitors to “visit the participating establishments until 15 November to enjoy our gastronomy and be surprised.” Detailed information about all the restaurants, listed alphabetically along with their proposed menus—typically consisting of two or three starters, rice, dessert, and coffee with the price included—can be found on the festival's website.
The restaurants are spread throughout the city, including the centre, San Juan Beach, and various neighbourhoods, showcasing the diverse offerings and high level of professionalism within Alicante's hospitality sector. The initiative aims to highlight the flagship of Alicante's gastronomy, rice, and its rich variety of recipes. “Our gastronomy is culture, tradition, and skill, representing a top-level asset for attracting quality tourism. These days also provide an opportunity for locals to better appreciate our flavours,” concluded Poquet.
