The palacio del condestable in Pamplona will welcome the ‘hotsak/sonidos’ musical cycle throughout November, featuring three engaging sessions. Scheduled for the 3rd, 10th, and 24th of November at 19:00, these events will be free to attend, although prior registration is required.

During the sessions, academics from the Jakiunde forum, Teresa Catalán and Martín Llade, will engage in discussions with musicians including Martín Llade, Iván Palomares, Emilio Villalba, Sara Marina, and Ángel Luis Quintana. The cycle aims to explore the influence of music on society and its connections to other artistic disciplines, making it accessible to all audiences.

The programme kicks off on 3rd November with a dialogue titled ‘Hablando con las músicas’, featuring composers Teresa Catalán and Iván Palomares discussing general composition and the creation of music specifically for film. The second session, on 10th November, will be another dialogue, ‘Sarabande. La música de cine contra las cuerdas’, between cellist Ángel Luis Quintana and Martín Llade, director of Sinfonía de la mañana on Radio Clásica. This session will appeal to film lovers as they explore some of the most beautiful pieces from cinematic history.

Concluding the cycle on 24th November is the concert ‘Érase una vez…la música’, performed by Emilio Villalba and Sara Marina, alongside Martín Llade. This recital promises a journey into the past to illustrate how music is understood today.

The events are organised by the Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters-Jakiunde, in collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de Pamplona, and supported by the Government of Navarra and Laboral Kutxa.
