The mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, has emphasised the city council's commitment to the charity festival 'Repartiendo Esperanza', an initiative led by the Macarena and Esperanza de Triana brotherhoods aimed at raising funds for their social welfare projects in the city's North and South districts.
During the launch of the initiative at the Salón Colón in Seville's city hall, Sanz expressed gratitude to both brotherhoods for choosing the city council to present a project with a name that speaks volumes: 'Repartiendo Esperanza'.
“Seville knows a lot about hope, but above all, Seville knows about solidarity. When two of our most beloved brotherhoods decide to join forces to help those in need, the entire city has reasons to feel proud,”
The festival is scheduled for 20 November at Parque Fernando Magallanes, running from 4:00 PM to midnight. It will feature numerous local artists and groups, creating a day dedicated to music and community while contributing to a social cause.
All proceeds will be directed entirely to the social welfare projects run by the Macarena brotherhood in the North district and the Esperanza de Triana brotherhood in the South district. The festival lineup includes performances from Así Canta Jerez en Navidad, Javi Moya, Al Son de las Niñas, Rafael Ruiz 'El Bomba', Macarena de la Torre, Calle Pureza, Una y Nos Vamos, and Los Alpresa.
Mayor Sanz also acknowledged the involvement of the senior brothers of both brotherhoods, Fernando Fernández Cabezuelo and Feliciano Fernández, as well as all the brothers and volunteers who have made this initiative possible. He encouraged all Seville residents to participate in the festival, highlighting that there will be affordable food and drink options available, making the event accessible to everyone.
“Let’s fill Parque Fernando Magallanes with music, community, and above all, solidarity on 20 November. Together, let’s spread hope,”
