The Port Authority of Santander (APS) has awarded a contract to AMBAR TELECOMUNICACIONES S.L. for the renewal of its cybersecurity systems, aimed at strengthening network protection against potential digital threats and attacks. This initiative represents an investment of €442,829 and is set to be executed over a five-year period.
César Díaz, the president of the APS, stated that the objective is to “improve the detection and prevention of threats, as well as to ensure the security of communications and IT systems.” He emphasised that cybersecurity is “an essential element” for ensuring “the proper functioning of our infrastructures and services,” as well as for safeguarding the information and communications of the Port Authority.
“With this award, we are taking another step in our commitment to technological modernisation and the protection of our systems in an increasingly demanding digital environment,” Díaz added.
The project includes the replacement of existing equipment, which was installed in 2021, with new technological solutions. It also encompasses maintenance, technical support, and updates of cybersecurity tools over the next five years, contributing to the continuity and security of the Port Authority's digital services and alignment with current technological standards.
