More than 15,500 people attended the runway shows of the 38th edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion, alongside 3,000 visitors at the inaugural PLEC event, which focuses on Barcelona's cultural fashion scene. Organised by the Department of Business and Labour through the Consortium of Commerce, Craft and Fashion of Catalonia (CCAM), the event received support from the City Council of Barcelona and the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Barcelona.

This year's runway was notably held at the Marina Seca of Port Vell, marking a new format that combined in-person experiences with live broadcasts in the Open Area. The event garnered extensive digital coverage, surpassing five million views across the social media platforms of 080 Barcelona Fashion and more than 5,000 live stream views of the runway shows.

The PLEC initiative, launched by the City Council of Barcelona under the Strategic Fashion Plan 2025-2030, concluded its first volume on Thursday at the Tinglados of Port Vell, attracting over 3,000 attendees across two afternoons. This initiative expanded the fashion experience beyond the runway, featuring a mix of imagery, editing, music, art, performances, and discussions.

In parallel, 'PLEC: La 080 en pantalla' brought the 080 Barcelona Fashion shows to four neighbourhoods in the city, making fashion more accessible to the public. Screens set up in Can Fabra Square (Sant Andreu), Glòries Square (Sant Martí), Mar Square (Barceloneta), and Commercial Square (Born) saw significant foot traffic, particularly during live interviews with designers Fermin & Gilles and Custo Dalmau.

The Open Area emerged as one of the most vibrant spaces of the 38th edition, welcoming over 6,000 visitors throughout the four-day event. This area fostered a gathering of students, professionals, and fashion enthusiasts around creative talents and new industry proposals. Activities such as 080Spot_SpainGallery continued to bridge the gap between creators and the community, offering a platform to discover projects, share knowledge, and explore new perspectives within the industry.

The final day of programming concluded with a talk titled “AI Campaigns” featuring Adrià Marcos, Director of Dazz, and a workshop on glass jewellery led by Toda Frágil, an artisanal jewellery project. These activities contributed to enhancing the event experience beyond the runway.

The closing runway shows highlighted the creativity and talent showcased during the four-day event. The final collections presented included works from CRYPTA, L’AMAR, PAT EQUILUX, SOHUMAN, BOLTAD, ALEIXANDRI STUDIO, and DAVID CATALÁN.

Highlights from the final collections

CRYPTA opened the last day with 'Fallen Bodies', an autobiographical collection by Argentine designer Florencia López Cornejo that explores themes of conflict, vulnerability, and emotional weariness through the body. The brand constructs an experimental creative universe where craftsmanship and material exploration are central.

L’AMAR presented 'Desertores', its tenth men's collection inspired by 1930s and 1940s Spain, reflecting on the bravery of those who risked their lives to protect Spanish artistic heritage during the Civil War.

PAT EQUILUX showcased 'Vidas no vividas', a collection that contemplates memory, nostalgia, and untraveled paths, transforming personal experiences into pieces that resonate with individual emotions.

SOHUMAN, founded by Javier Aparici in 2020, presented 'Chapter 6', a collection reflecting on migration flows and the role of clothing as a refuge of identity, memory, and belonging.

BOLTAD made its debut with 'Billy | El Hermoso', exploring reincarnation and the coexistence of various identities throughout life.

ALEIXANDRI STUDIO returned with 'CIRCA', a collection advocating diversity, identity, and resilience through a theatrical and provocative lens.

Finally, DAVID CATALÁN closed the event with 'CRISIS SS27', a collection examining the relationship between security, protection, and unease in everyday life.

This edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion received support from the City Council of Barcelona, the Provincial Council of Barcelona, and the backing of seven sponsors and ten collaborators. Key sponsors included Port Vell and Marina Vela (official venue), MAC Cosmetics (official make-up), Wella (official hairdressing), and Hotel Me (official hotel), among others.
