Banc Sabadell celebrates 50 years since opening its first office in Girona

The president of the Diputació de Girona, Miquel Noguer, participated in a ceremony on Tuesday afternoon to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Banc Sabadell's first office in the Girona region, which took place on 3 November 1976.

The event was attended by members of the original staff from that office, located at Plaza de Catalunya in Girona, as well as Carlos Ventura, the general director of Banc Sabadell, Sergi Font, the second deputy mayor of Girona, and Xavier Comerma, the territorial director of Catalonia for the bank.

During his speech, Noguer congratulated Banc Sabadell on this significant milestone and praised the work carried out over the years. He emphasised the importance of continuing to invest in the region, stating, "Roots and proximity are vital for clients, but especially for the entire region and the country."

As part of the celebrations, recognition was given to representatives from the original office. Since its inception, Banc Sabadell has expanded throughout the Girona region and now operates 37 offices in total: 36 commercial branches and one office dedicated to large enterprises, alongside teams of business and private banking directors.
