The cultural councillor of Albacete, Elena Serrallé, has praised the success of the first national podcast festival, ‘¿Se me escucha?’, currently taking place at the Teatro Circo. This event positions Albacete on the national cultural map, showcasing a quality programme that features some of the most prominent podcasts in Spain alongside local projects.
Serrallé congratulated the festival's co-directors, Javi Sánchez Munera from Nuteco and Fran Izuzquiza from Yes We Cast, for their dedication and vision in bringing such an ambitious project to Albacete, which has the support of the local council. She highlighted this initiative as part of the municipality's commitment to providing quality cultural programming throughout the year.
The councillor noted that podcasts have emerged as one of the most significant cultural phenomena today, attracting millions of listeners and possessing a remarkable ability to inform, entertain, and foster community. She stated, “Our city needed to be represented through an initiative that not only brings some of the most relevant podcasts in the country but also showcases local talent and offers a platform for our creators.”
Serrallé expressed her hope that this inaugural edition will continue in the future, becoming a regular feature in Albacete's cultural offerings, thus enhancing the city's capacity to host innovative initiatives and connect local talent with major national cultural proposals.
Until midnight, the festival features renowned podcasts such as ‘Terrores Nocturnos’ and ‘La Escóbula de la Brújula’, alongside local offerings like ‘Concepto Sentido’, ‘Travesura Realizada’, ‘Cerveceando Podcast’, ‘El sótano de Marti & Doc’, and ‘Made in Albacete’.
