The Horteralia festival has concluded its fifteenth edition, achieving a record participation of nearly 12,000 'hortefans' who enjoyed the event at the fairgrounds in Cáceres. This year’s festival has solidified its status as the most attended in its history, providing a celebration of music and unrestrained fun.

Tickets for Saturday sold out, drawing a diverse audience from various parts of Spain. The striking outfits, full of glitter and colour, were a key part of the spectacle.

Camela takes the spotlight

The presence of the popular group Camela was one of the highlights of this edition. Ángeles Muñoz and Dioni Martín thrilled the audience with their unmistakable sound and lyrics that resonate with several generations. Hits such as 'Lágrimas de amor', 'Sueño contigo', and 'Cuando zarpa el amor' echoed throughout the venue, with the latter being a particularly memorable moment marked by a shower of balloons falling over the crowd.

Other notable performances included Los Desgraciaus, who entertained the audience with their rendition of 'Los coches chocones' at the bumper car attraction. Additionally, Patricia Manterola and Los Inhumanos delivered memorable performances, alongside Orquesta Nueva Línea, Sharonne, and Nebulossa, who rounded out a varied programme.

Awards and creativity at the Photocall

The presentation of the Riñonera de Oro and the Hombreras de Plata was another highlight. The Riñonera de Oro was awarded to La Moño, who dazzled in a faralaes outfit complete with LED lights and a fanny pack, while La Ganchillo received the Hombreras de Plata for a costume that paid homage to her name.

Continuous activities and fun

Between concerts, attendees enjoyed a variety of attractions, including a karaoke stage and a Vegas-style wedding chapel. The kitch market, arcade area, and tattoo space also contributed to the festival experience, inviting guests to play and let loose.

A growing festival

Horteralia wraps up its most attended edition, establishing itself as an event that defies conventions and promotes a sense of humour. The festival is sponsored by the Department of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Junta de Extremadura, through the Extremadura Cultural Foundation.
