The 47th edition of the Marxa Beret, one of the most iconic cross-country skiing events in the Pyrenees, is set to take place on 6 and 7 February 2027 at Plan de Beret. This popular sporting event attracts athletes and enthusiasts alike, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy the stunning natural surroundings of the Val d'Aran.
Traditionally organised by the Conselh Generau d'Aran and Baqueira Beret, the Marxa Beret has established itself as a key event in the Nordic skiing calendar, blending competition with a community spirit. The event not only promotes the Val d'Aran as a winter sports and tourist destination but also highlights its natural heritage and connection to snow sports.
The 2027 edition will feature four different distances: 42, 21, 10, and 5 kilometres, all in classic style. This variety allows participants of varying physical fitness and experience levels to join, from seasoned skiers to those looking to try cross-country skiing for the first time or enjoy a family-friendly sporting day.
The Marxa Beret continues to embody the spirit of cross-country skiing, encouraging sports participation, camaraderie among participants, and promoting values closely linked to respect for the natural environment. Beyond its sporting dimension, the event plays a significant role in energising the local area and enhancing the visibility of the Val d'Aran and its snow-related activities.
