“The route that does not exist” is the latest Halloween attraction presented by the Piélagos Town Council, set to unfold along the banks of the Carrimont River in Renedo. Gloria Bárcena, the Councillor for Festivities, announced that the event will take place on Saturday, 31 October, beginning at 17:30, in the vicinity of the IES Valle de Piélagos secondary school.
In the school gymnasium, performances will be showcased by three local dance schools: AnyOneElse Dance Studio, led by Beatriz Abascal; Bailando con Gema Villanueva; and the Piélagos Municipal Dance School, directed by Alberto Pineda. Following their performances, awards will be presented for the Halloween Decoration Contest 2026, which saw participation from local businesses, hospitality venues, senior centres, and schools, alongside a pumpkin decoration competition exclusively for students.
Bárcena further revealed that from 19:00 to 23:00, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the theatrical horror show “Carrimont, the route that does not exist.” This performance will take place along a route stretching from the IES Valle de Piélagos to the Ludoteca building in Renedo, featuring six themed areas: “The bridge of the disappeared,” “The trail of those who still walk,” “The washhouse of those who never returned,” “The man who has already left,” “The gallows of the most,” and “The route of those who never leave.” Additionally, a spooky photo booth will be available at the entrance of the passage for attendees to capture their Halloween memories.
