The city council of Vigo has announced an investment of €379,000 for the upcoming XIII edition of the artistic mural programme ‘Vigo, cidade de cor’. This initiative, which has been revitalising the urban landscape since 2015, aims to enhance the city’s visual appeal through public art.
Following a recent approval by the Xunta de Gobierno, the new edition will see the addition of 12 new murals across various locations in the city. Currently, Vigo boasts over 190 outdoor murals, showcasing the city’s commitment to cultural expression and artistic development.

The new murals will be installed at the following sites:
- Rúa Torrecedeira 97
- Avenida de Castrelos 196
- Rúa Covadonga 36
- Rúa Toledo 40
- CPR Plurilingüe Alba
- Túnel de Matamá
- Túnel Praza de América
- Túnel rúa Cachamuíña
- Túnel Estorniño
- Parque A Bouza, Coia
- Rúa Hispanidade 81
- CEIP Fléming
The council’s efforts not only focus on creating new artworks but also on restoring murals from previous editions, ensuring that the city’s artistic heritage is preserved for future generations.
