Alfonso Lago, born in Lalín in 1962, holds a doctorate in Industrial Engineering from the University of Vigo. He has spent a significant part of his professional career as a tenured professor of Electronic Technology at the same institution. Lago has also served as vice-rector for Faculty, Teaching and Qualifications, as well as vice-rector for Qualifications and Teaching Innovation, and has an extensive research background.
