The Argamasilla de Alba Town Council, in collaboration with Primer Acto Teatro, has launched the XIII Regional Theatre Award 'El Lugar de la Mancha' as part of the upcoming 'Viaje al Parnaso 2027' event. This initiative aims to promote and recognise amateur theatre in the Castilla-La Mancha region, providing local theatre groups with a platform to showcase their work.
Participation details and prizes
The competition is open to amateur theatre groups federated with FETEACLM, who can submit their applications until 13 November 2026. The selected group will receive a cash prize of €1,000 and the trophy for the XIII Regional Award 'El Lugar de la Mancha'. Furthermore, the winning performance is scheduled to take place on 30 January 2027 at the Teatro Auditorio de Argamasilla de Alba, as part of the 'Viaje al Parnaso 2027' programme, subject to conditions permitting.
Application process
Interested groups must complete an online participation form and provide a link to a full video of their performance, hosted on platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo, without the need for prior downloads. The video must remain accessible until at least 6 December 2026.
