28th encuentros te veo to take place in valladolid from 9 to 15 november

The Teatro Calderón will be the main venue for the encuentros te veo, which will run from 9 to 15 November. This year's theme is "Classics on stage," highlighting classical dramaturgy. The programme will feature 19 theatre companies presenting performances for school groups and the general public, alongside workshops and discussion panels.

Activities will extend beyond Valladolid to include the neighbourhood of Pajarillos, La Cistérniga, Villanubla, Olmedo, and Salamanca. Ana Gallego, coordinator of the encuentros and a member of Teloncillo Teatro, emphasised the importance of classical works, stating, "Classics speak to us about issues that continue to resonate through generations: fear, love, jealousy, justice, freedom, courage, identity, and the desire to understand who we are."

Gallego also noted that the encuentros te veo celebrates three decades in 2026, advocating for the right of children and young people to access quality culture and diverse artistic proposals that foster growth and understanding of the world.

The programme includes three public discussion panels, which will be free to attend. The first event, Píldoras te veo, will take place on Friday 13 November at 16:30 in the Salón de los Espejos at the Teatro Calderón, focusing on sharing projects, ideas, and experiences.

School performances aim to provide age-appropriate proposals for students at various stages of their education. Tickets for public performances at the Teatro Calderón are now on sale.
