Big Van Ciència presents 'La materia absurda' exploring quantum physics on 6 November

The collective Big Van Ciència is set to present 'La materia absurda' on 6 November at the Auditorio Barradas, delving into the intriguing world of quantum physics. This performance combines science with humour and unexpected questions, illustrating how reality can sometimes surpass fiction.

During the event, various science communicators will discuss topics such as particles, superposition, entanglement, and quantum teleportation, distinguishing between scientific fact and pure invention, all delivered with a touch of absurd humour.

Since its inception in 2013, Big Van Ciència has aimed to make science accessible and entertaining. The group engages audiences through live performances, radio and television appearances, book publications, and educational workshops across Spain, Europe, and Latin America.

“We believe that science, built on cooperation and equality, should be the primary tool for humanity's progress. That’s why we work towards advancing science and research, debunking myths and misinformation, all while embracing the humour and quirks that define us. No one should miss out on the benefits of new scientific advancements!”

The show will commence at 19:00, and entry is free of charge.
