On 9 November at 12:30, the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Economics and Business will host the presentation of two new strategic buildings at the University of Barcelona. The event will be led by rector Joan Guàrdia.
These buildings will be located on the Diagonal Campus and will house the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, along with research spaces for the Faculty of Economics and Business. Additionally, one of the buildings will include research facilities related to health, adjacent to the University of Barcelona's Scientific Park.
The construction is expected to be completed by 2029. This expansion project for the University of Barcelona on the Diagonal Campus stems from an agreement signed in April 2024, aimed at enhancing research and talent in the fields of mathematics, computer science, economics, business, and health.
The two new buildings are strategically linked to the upcoming Clinical Health Campus of the University of Barcelona, which will be situated on the current sports grounds.
