'11', the andorran horror co-production, hits cinemas

The cinematic landscape this Friday is dominated by '11', a hispano-andorran and argentinian horror co-production filmed in Sant Julià de Lòria, Andorra. The film was presented on Thursday night at a pre-release event featuring members of the cast, local authorities, and representatives from the audiovisual sector.

Starting this Friday, audiences can discover this production with an Andorran signature. '11' is a suspense thriller that centres on a group of listeners isolated in a shelter. The arrival of a disturbing child transforms the group's tranquillity, turning their confinement into an increasingly tense situation.

Filmed against the backdrop of the Andorran mountains, the film showcases the picturesque landscapes of Sant Julià de Lòria to audiences worldwide. The movie will be screened in its original version in Catalan.

In addition to this significant Andorran release, the cinema schedule features a variety of other genres:

  • Les Misérables - Fred Cavayé: This film brings a new adaptation of Victor Hugo's classic tale, focusing on the thrilling pursuit between Jean Valjean and Inspector Javert amid the popular revolution against the monarchy in early 19th-century France.
  • Moulin - László Nemes (Cinema de l'Aliança): This historical drama centres on Jean Moulin, a key figure in the French Resistance during the Nazi occupation, detailing the torture and interrogations he faced at the hands of the Gestapo.
  • The cat in the hat - Alessandro Carloni: In a more family-friendly vein, this film presents a new adaptation of the beloved character, following the cat as he helps two siblings regain their joy and adapt to their new city.
  • Ramanaya - Nitesh Tiwari: This epic production, with a reported budget of around 500 million euros, narrates the birth of a legend through the story of Prince Rama and the trials he must overcome.
