Theatre workshops in Daimiel to start on 12 November

The Culture delegation in Daimiel has announced two cultural events scheduled for November. The municipal theatre workshops for both children and adults will commence on Thursday, 12 November, while the opera Nabucco is set to be screened on Thursday, 26 November, at Daimiel Cinema.

Andrés García-Consuegra, the Culture coordinator, stated that registration for the workshops is now open. Although the first session is next week, interested participants can join at any point during the course. To secure a place, individuals can visit the Casa de Cultura offices from 9:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday, or on Wednesday afternoons from 17:00 to 19:00.

The weekly classes will take place on Thursday afternoons, divided into two groups: children and adults, with no age restrictions. The fees for the entire course are set at €39 for children and €52 for adults, payable via bank transfer to the Daimiel Town Hall account. At the end of the course, there will be an open showcase where students can demonstrate the theatrical skills they have acquired.

García-Consuegra also highlighted the positive reception of previous screenings, noting that the opera will return to Daimiel Cinema on the evening of Thursday, 26 November. Nabucco, one of Giuseppe Verdi's most famous works, was recorded at the Arena di Verona. Tickets will go on sale from this Friday on the cinema's website.

During the announcement of these events, García-Consuegra was joined by Alicia Loro, the Councillor for Festivities, who expressed confidence that theatre and opera enthusiasts in the municipality would once again show their support.
