The Centro del Vino y la Sal in Chiclana is currently hosting the photographic exhibition ‘Rostros del Vino de Chiclana’. The display includes 33 images captured by photographer Juan Antonio Guerrero, illustrating the daily work in the vineyards and wineries of Chiclana.
Mayor José María Román officially opened the exhibition, which will be available for public viewing until 5 December. He was joined at the event by the Sustainable Tourism Delegate, Manuela Pérez, the exhibition's author, Juan Antonio Guerrero, and representatives from local wineries.
The exhibition features photographs that depict the key figures in their natural environment, showcasing activities in the vineyard during planting and harvesting, as well as in the winery where processes such as fermentation and bottling take place.
Román highlighted that this exhibition is part of the celebrations marking the tenth anniversary of the Centro de Interpretación del Vino y la Sal, emphasising the centre's role in hosting events in Chiclana. Pérez added that the exhibition represents a significant part of Chiclana's history and the promotion of local wineries, particularly noting the involvement of women in the sector.
Guerrero expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to capture these technically challenging photographs and appreciated the cooperation from the subjects involved. Elena Aragón from Bodegas Manuel Aragón underscored the importance of the wine sector in Chiclana, while Encarnación Quevedo acknowledged the visibility this initiative brings to the industry.
